Changing the Windows registered owner and organisation
When you install Windows, the system asks you for your name and organisation details. The copy of Windows is then 'registered' to you. When installing other applications, this information is used to provide the default name and organisation details. If the registered owner has changed since the computer was first purchased, then you may wish to change the default values.
To set the default owner and organisation information:
1. Use a registry editing tool to navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
2. Change the value with the following details:
Data Type: SZ
Value Name: RegisteredOwner
Value: The name you wish to use
3. Change the value with the following details:
Data Type: SZ
Value Name: RegisteredOrganization
Value: The company or organisation name you wish to use
4. Reboot the computer for the changes to take effect.
Please note: This change only affects the Windows operating system. It does not change the registered owners of any application software.
Please note: All numeric values are shown in decimal notation.

Hope this helps...
