Dual Display

Postby ray goodwin » Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:08 pm

Hi All
I have been trying to get two monitors working on this laptop, It is an Acer Aspire 1310 running Windows XP Home Edition and the Latest version of Zion Works.
All I can get is the same display on both monitors or monitor/projector the Video Card is a S3 Graphics Pro Savage DDR, I have installed the latest drivers but still not working the control panel display settings show three display devices a CRT display, an LCD display and a TV display.
The CRT and LCD displays are both ticked if I click on the LCD display a device settings box opens with the option of Expand Panel Image if I tick this box the apply button is greyed out and won't allow me to set this.
Can anyone please tell me what I can do to get this working its fairly urgent.
Thanks for any help given

Cheers

Did you get it fixed?
If not, do check...

Your Display Properties needs to have an Extended Desktop. Don't go via the graphics card's own panel, but instead:-

Right-click on the desktop and choose "Display Properties"

Select the "Settings" tab

Click on the picture of the monitor numbered 2

Put a 'tick' in the box for "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"

Click "OK"
This should now give you Zionworx displaying the songs on the second monitor (and do be aware that you can only actually specify an extended desktop when the projector is actually connected to the computer).
