Hello

Just wondering, how to get into the beta testing group, i don't know much about programing, so maybe as beta tester i could help getting the v3.0 out sooner.

About linux, i have tried knopix, but perfer mepis, it is a live cd as knopix but also ment to be installed on your hardisk.

By the way, thanks for a great program, looking forward for the v3.0

I believe the Lord is teaching us patience, V3 will come out when it is the right time :-)

1 year may seem long, but think of the Isrealites roaming around for 40 years before entering the promise land, now that is a long wait :-D

I doubt it, for the same reason there prob won't be a Mac version

Sorry Keith, there are no plans for a Mac version...

I've got nothing against Macs (they're great) but it comes down to a lack of time and needing to support the most commonly used platform to benefit the most people - and that's Windows (whether we like the fact or not!)

Cheers,
Christian

But the developers may prove me wrong on that!!!!

Helooooo ... it's very quiet

Any news on v3? If you are not allowed to say anything just let us know.

With no indication of v3.0 development or progress, I am battling to hold off the team beginning to explore alternatives with more "seemeless" integration of these features. Even though in most cases they make limited long term sense and imply significant cost (They're talking $500 ? ).

It's just the silence and deferred hope that is over bearing.

Thanks Again

Hi Alistair (and others). We appreciate the difficulty that a lack of feedback on pogress causes for people, unfortunately progress has been rather slow over the last six months. Technically we have the capability to have video and other media integrated in Zionworx as well as bible and the other features planned for 3; what is proving time consuming is tying that into the front end in a user friendly - or even just useable manner.

The difficulty in giving a time estimate is the fact that Zionworx is very much a part time activity for all three developers and at this time the other areas of our lives are very busy with little time left for development. We could say four months (and that would be a rough minimum time frame for version 3) but even that is likely to be pushed out by other things.

We recognise that people would like to see the new features in ZW; we ourselves would like to see them completed and available for use, however that is the situation at present.

Thanks Chris. I appreciate the response. I (We) really apreciate all you guys are doing. I wish I had the capacity to help you with programing, but unfortunately have never really developed that aptitute.

THis is still a great apprcation that has made a significant impact on a number of our church plants around the country and beyond.

Bless you all ..

Status of the v3 development

Postby Professor » Mon Apr 09, 2007 9:26 am

What is the Status of the v3 development?
And what about the Beta Button on the Homepage?
Is there a Beta and it is possible to get it?
Thanks

V3 is in development...

The beta test button is for those we deem sutible candidates to beta test.

This group is a small group mostly people that have been very helpful in the past with support of v2 and 2.5.

This group is about the size we would like so don't need anyone else yet to become beta testers, however we are always looking at this and can add your name to the list.

We have no full v3 working or in beta yet just modules that we will integrate into the main system.
