The above is something I just found and might be of interest to the developers of Zionworx!

Currently on Vista Ultimate Beta 2 the latest version of ZionWorx's runs OK. Only one issue so far - I cannot open PowerPoint presentations as the thumbnails are created in a temporary folder inside Program Files\Zionworx\Temp and Vista will not let programs create files and folders in this location whilst it is running. It does not work even if I create a temp folder before I start the application. The dialog error reads as below:

---------------------------
ZionWorx 2.5
---------------------------
Cannot open file "C:\Program Files\ZionWorx\Temp\Slide1.jpg". The system cannot find the file specified.
---------------------------
OK

Also, there is a little problem with the .ini files - they don't seem to exist but they work. Again this is related to the above entry in that a program cannot create user files inside Program Files and they do get created and stored in some virtual location that I have yet to locate - but this means that if you want to back them up or tweak them (etc.) then you cannot

Back to PowerPoint, it does work - you just cannot see the thumbnails on the management screen!

Also upon installation it throws the following error:

---------------------------
Error!
---------------------------
This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus. Please reinstall it.
---------------------------
OK

Hi Brian,

Thanks for reporting your findings...

Please can you also let us know if:

a) It actually does install (even thought it reports an error).
b) Preferences are saved correctly (to the INI file).

I've not seen Windows Vista myself, but we will obviously do our best to support it.

Cheers,
Christian.

Yes, it installs correctly, though at this time I have not tried dual monitor output.

I did not try to update the preferences, though I did restore a backup of my songs database (which contains the settings and styles ini files) and that worked ok.
