Comma's and Apostrophes

Postby brainier » Sun Oct 30, 2005 10:16 pm

You cannot enter this characters (and possibly others) when typing in a new song, but if you copy them from another program and paste them in they work fine!

They need to be able to be entered, as songs do use them within their titles.

Thanks in advance for adding this to the bug list you must maintain and thanks for fixing stuff in 2.5.06 that I had reported in 2.5.05

Comma's and Apostrophes

I assumed this was deliberate so that it made searching more reliable - some people might enter them and others not. Or they might enter them in the wrong places, etc.

I considered this to be a *good thing*.

Except the Songs of Fellowship macro keeps them in, so for consistency and when adding very similar versions of songs I need to keep the titles the same.

But it is a bug in that I cannot type them in, but I can paste them in. If the database allows them, then the data entry form should allow them too.
