How to add Blank lines on a screen

Postby kingobvious » Thu Aug 14, 2003 2:05 am

This may seem obvious but I have found that if you take a blank line and
copy/paste a blank character from character map, the song gets a blank line on that screen.

example of what I mean.

blah blah blah
blah blah blah

blah blah blah
blah blah blah

This seems to make it a lot easier reading for the congregation.

I usually only use 4 lines of song before I put in a blank line.

I was wondering if it is possible to add either...
A. A button to add a blank line in a song
B. A button to change the line spacing(ie MS Word) of the song when editing (or even displaying) a song.

I was proud of myself for figuring this out also. I use them to place Hymn or Bible References near the bottom of the screen.

Most of my time each week is spent making sure these references end up on the same line throughout the song or Bible reading.

A tag to put text on the last line would help me out greatly. But I see that meta-data is not really "in" on this forum.

If you want to add a blank line, and don't fancy going into the character editor, holding down alt and typing 255 on the keypad will give you a spacer character.
