Hi

Does anyone know of a zionworx system for musicians ie a method for using a laptop on a music stand or keyboard that will provide the appropiate music at the press of a few buttons, idea for those spontaenous moment! and prob a lot less weight in books to carry round?

Any thoughts would be idea, a guitar version, a piano and then we could even move into Bb versions for other instruments. This could be a great project for someone if it has not already been done.

Sounds great, although I expect all those electonic copies of music scores could be a bit of CCLI headache! :D

If it could be operated by footswitches (being a guitarist myself) then all the better...

just a thought from a fellow guitarist...

if you only need the chords and not the 'real' music then why not add the chords to the songs above each text line?

the ingenious bit is then to use a normal monitor as opposed to projector for displaying the chords in front of you (a nice LCD monitor would fit snuggly onto a music stand!).

now, this bit is even MORE ingenious (and perhaps slightly daft) make some kind of physical lever attached to the page up and page down keys on a keyboard to move between verses of the song. can't remember off hand what key's you'd press to get to the next song though. you may need to have a 'music sheet controller' sat next to you with the laptop.

well, maybe it's not too far fetched but it's an idea to start you off!!

either that or scan them into ta PC and add them to powerpoint, get a keyboard with levers onto the left-arrow and right-arrow to scroll between pages :)
