I've also noticed recently that I can no longer retreive bible versus.

I can connect and select the bible and chapter I am needing. But once I try to transfer the selected bible versus to the playlist, I get an error.

With kind regards,

Hi guys,

Yes BibleGateway have changed the layout of their pages. They have left the previous website available under 'classic.biblegateway.com'.

If you open the ZWSettings.ini file in Notepad (Windows 7 it is under ProgramData\Zionworx) and find the Bible Gateway line and change to
Bible Gateway Name=http://classic.biblegateway.com/

Restarting Zionworx should have Bible Gateway working again.

We're working on a better solution however for the time being this will get you going again.

Thanks

I can't locate the ZW Settings and the Bible Gateway line but I am not Windows 7 but XP. Can you let me know where I can locate the Bible Gateway line please in order to change.

Gail, I'm (still) on XP.

I'm not back at the church till Sunday, but from memory I went to the Program Files directory (on C drive in my case), then to the ZionworX directory, and then saw a shortcut to a Data directory which I double clicked.

Within that location it went to (or maybe a sub-directory - my memory is failing me....) I found the file mentioned by Chris.

Good luck - I'll also check on Sunday.

With kind regards,

Thanks Mark but I still can't see the correct route. i can see a data file folder but then just a load of files and not too sure which is the bible. Have tried opening some but no joy. Would be grateful if you can check and spell it out to me!! Thank you.

If you use the data shortcut as suggested it is the directory above where you end up.

The actual path on XP (and other versions) is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ZionWorx\2.6\

Thanks Chris but don't have that path. Might have helped if I had said I'm actually on Windows VISTA!, not XP. Is there a relevent path for VISTA please. Thank you.

Hi,

I don't have Vista so educated guessing that Vista uses a C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Zionworx\2.6 path (You may need to change your folder options to show hidden folders) But the <username> may also be an 'allusers' type option too.

Perhaps easiest approach is to use the data shortcut if there and go up the directory path from there.

Thanks Chris. Many hours later I have done it and it works! The application data file was hidden but have found out how to unhide it so it is now working. Many thanks.

Thanks - this is useful.

But there's still the problem of the missing verses eg John 20:23 in the tniv plus Luke 24:7, 19 and 26 and the whole of Isaiah 40.
I'm still wondering if I'm the only person who has this problem. Could a few folk please look these verses up via the Zionworx bible gateway feature and see if they will download?

Thanks

James
