Hi Mark,

Sorry I never replied to your previous message.
Unfortunately I have no news of progress for you re PowerPoint 2010 :(

At the moment I'm completing development of a major new feature: integrated video support.
This has taken a lot of effort over the last few months and it's looking good now.

Once this is completed then PowerPoint 2010 integration will be the next feature on the list.

I'm sorry for the slow pace of development!

Cheers,
Christian.

thanks Christian for the update, video will be very useful, as currently use either VLC or Screenmonkey for that duty.

If you could update the topic monthly, even if there's no progress that would help.

thanks again

mark

Hi Mark et al,

Just a note to say that we've made some good progress this month towards implementing PowerPoint 2010 support. Enough to confirm that it will be in the next release, target date April 2012.

If you haven't heard about that yet then check out our Facebook page for details and news updates!

Thanks,
Christian.

Thanks Christian,

Can we get a previous fix back into the product that has disappeared in the recent releases.

If PowerPoint is stopped from doing its display in PowerPoint Viewer (say by pressing the Esc key) the the slide show stops but the presentation, as far as Zionworx is concerned, is still running and so displays a black screen on top of the song display screen. So if I now want to display a song (say I press F4 to jump to the next item in the playlist) then the song is displayed but behind the PPT screen, so the song is not seen - this causes issues.

Also, the only way to stop PPT at this time is to restart it and stop it in Zionworx. If I stop the presention in the PPT viewer then the stop button in ZW for PPT is not available.

The previous fix implemented for this issue was outlined in http://www.zionworx.org.uk/forum_3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=500&p=2166&hilit=+top#p2166 and the code was changed to that whenever a song was displayed the song display screen always came to the top. I suggestion was that if the PC operator decides to show something (song, PPT, or indeed video in the next version) then that display should be on top of all other displays without manually needing to stop and start different things.

Thanks

Brian
