Power point switchover

We run Zionworx 2.6 on a AMILO Pro lap top quite successfully, however when leaving songs to go to Power Point and then starting the Power Point programme, the details are shown immediately on the screen. Is there a way to stop the visuals showing on the screen before loading? It's easy once the programme has loaded of course, but the live screen is distracting whilst loading.
Is there a computer or projector short cut?

Hi tomw,

I don't know if you've got the answer to this sorted out yet, but in case others are having problems, this might help.

From what I gather of the problem you are having, you are not controlling the PowerPoint show from within Zionworx. In the File/Preferences option in ZW, go to the PowerPoint tab and click in both of the boxes to enable PowerPoint support and to load PPT presentations when a playlist is loaded.

Use the main ZW PowerPoint tab to open your presentations and save them in your play list (this can be done ahead of time, when you pick the songs you will be singing.)

Now when you finish singing a song and want to move to the PPT show you just make that item in the play list active (Make it the current item, just as you move to the next song in your list) and the slide show will start automatically - no PPT menus, desktops etc will be displayed. You can control the slides in the show from the ZW PowerPoint tab - or use a remote control just as people do for presentations without Zionworx.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Also have a look at the v2.5 FAQs where there are a couple of threads on dual monitor set up and multiple monitor usage.

And in terms of shortcuts, if the PowerPoint entries are in the playlist use F10 to finish the song and when you want to move to the slides press F4. You will jump to the next item in the playlist and the slide will be shown.

If when you add slides to the playlist, you select any slide other than the first slide then the item in the playlist will start at that slide.

Or, of course you could make the first slide of all your slide decks black - and then no-one will see anything appear!

Thank you for your help, I like the idea of an initial black slide. :D
