Adding Unsaved PPT Files to Playlist

You know how it is, you only discover bugs in the software when nothing is going right and a church service is about to begin!

On Sunday the operator created two single slide presentation and added it to the playlist. As we needed to reboot the computer for a reason unrelated to ZW just before the service started we saved the playlist and restarted. The PowerPoint files were not saved, and when PowerPoint closed (as part of the closing of ZW) the program did not prompt to save the presentations - but at the time we did not notice this!

After rebooting we reloaded the playlist and it said items could not be found. The playlist had been saved to the H: drive (USB key) and the names of the presentation in the playlist where H:\presentation1 and H:\presentation2. This was with PowerPoint 2002, and just now at home have repeated this with PowerPoint 2007 - difference here is the file is given a name based on the initial text in the file and not Presentation#.

So need to ensure that you save PPT files before you add them to the playlist (so that the correct path is recorded) and for future updates to the software can we have PPT additions to the playlist force a save first if the PPT file is not saved.

Thanks

Brian
