Registering new install requires adminsitrator

Postby GatewayVP » Wed Oct 05, 2011 1:36 pm

I have just installed ZionworX on a new Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. WHen I try to run it, I get the following message:

Please run this program from your Administrator account so it can set up your licence.

The only account on this laptop is my own which is set to admin, of course. How can I get this to register?

Thanks

Hi. You may have worked this out already but the steps are below for others.

Right-mouse click on the ZionWorx short-cut. You should see a "Run as Administrator" option. Use this the first time. Subsequently you don't need the administrator option.

Comment for the dev team --> As you need the administrator rights active for the install, why not just start Zionworx on a first install (if not registered) at the end of the installation, or do the registration during the installation. Then this first run step goes away.

Hi Brainier,

That's actually a very good suggestion!
Perhaps Chris can look into that...

Thanks,
Christian.
