64bit Windows

Postby brainier » Fri Jun 08, 2007 12:18 pm

I have had Zionworx's running on 64bit Windows for a month now, and thought I would jot down this pointer in the support forum.

The default database path is C:\Program Files\Zionworx\Data, which is normally a subdirectory of the installation folder, but on 64bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista the installation path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\ZionWorx\", but the data path is hard coded to "C:\Program Files\Zionworx\Data", which means that the data is not in the same location as the application. This might be of interest with regards to backing up or restoring the database.

The "C:\Program Files" folder is for 64 bit applications, and 32 bit applications (such as Zionworx) go in "C:\Program Files (x86)"
