Think outside the box.
Don't project into the upper 2/3.... use the lower 2/3, but angle the projector higher! By doing it that way you can solve the problem, but you would need to take a few simple additional measures:-
(1) You'll need to set the margins associated with the background images so they force the song to show in only the lower 2/3 of the screen area.
(2) I'd suggest making a full backup of all the background images you use, and then editing every one of them so they are solid black in the top 1/3 region. This ensures that you don't end up with some stray pictures on the wall or ceiling, which looks messy.
Obviously this is not possible if you can't tilt the projector any further
But if you do have that freedom, and it's not possible to move or shrink the pastor (perhaps he could kneel rather than stand?!), then I'd this is your solution.
