When I installed Zionworx I changed the default password and did not write it down (good practice). But now that I want to unlock the database some time after installation I have forgotten the 'new' password. Is there a way out of this?
If I were to un-install and re-install Zionworx would I have to edit Registry entries or the .INI file?

Hi Dennis . You don't need to reinstall ZionWorx. Delete the .ini file and when you restart ZionWorx it will be reset to the default.

Thanks for the tip. Using Windows Search it looks as though the file in question is "ZWSettings.ini". Is that right, please?

Correct. If you wanted to keep other settings (depending on how much you've changed) then you can open the ini file in notepad and delete the line starting with "Password=" that stores the encrypted password.

Of course, if the file is called zwsettings.ini then you are running v2.6 and not v2.0 as this post in this forum would suggest.
