PowerPointy with Gif animation

Today I was trying to run a powerpoint slideshow with an animated gif file on it through zionworx. When I just run it through powerpoint the animation runs fine and as I expected. However, when it runs through zionworx, the animation does not run at all. The only way I can then get it to start animating is to click thre [Powerpoint Slideshow] button on the taskbar to shift the focus from Z/W to PP. Then the animation immediately starts to work. Any suggestions on why this might be happening and how to get round it so I don't need to shift focus from Z/W?
