Windows 2000

Postby athol Bell » Thu Aug 21, 2003 7:56 am

I am running Zionworx on Windows 2000 and have differnt users logging on to the PC. If the users are setup as power users, it loads fine, However, if they reduced to restricted users, i.e. not able to install programs, Zioworx does not load and comes up with an error message:
"Error #5 (File access denied)
Failure to open C:\Program files\ZionWorx\songs.dbf [USE/OpenDbf]"
What do I need to do to correct this?

This is (I believe) because Win2K does not give restricted users complete rights to access all directories and data files. I think you can solve the problem by fiddling with the sharing settings for the Zionworx directory - right click on the directory and go to 'sharing' and/or 'security' (not sure which, don't have Win2K running here) and make them available to all users. Should solve it!
