anyhoo, here goes:
open 'command prompt' (i'm assuming you have win xp!) 'start/programs/accessories/command prompt' or more simply 'start/run/ command'
once open, use dos commands to find your song directory eg: 'c:\documents and setting\zionworx\songs' or wherever your songs are.
then type:
- Code: Select all
dir *.* >> allsongs.txt
this will make a file called allsongs.txt with the directory listing in it. it can then be opened into excel and you can specifiy which parts of the file you want to import (i.e. you can select just the area with file names and ignore the file size/date etc). then run a find and replace to get rid of the '.sng' extensions and there's your list of songs
hope that's useful for someone.
maybe in version 3.0 there will be an 'export list of songs' feature?
MaFt
ps - i don't do capitalisation!!
